The French Ministry of the Interior chooses Nextcloud for its private Cloud
The French Ministry of the Interior, wishing to get rid of existing American cloud solutions, has opted for Nextcloud for its cloud needs. The migration began in 2018 and Nextcloud deployment is continuing for the ministry's 300,000 users.
The French Ministry of the Interior is another "giant" (in terms of number of users) to migrate to the European open source solution: the Dutch Ministry of Education, the German government and several Swedish government agencies have already preceded it in this migration to an open source solution.
Nextcloud ensures data security and ease of use
"The French government is concerned about the data security of its citizens and employees. With the Nextcloud on-premise content collaboration platform, we have opted for a secure and easy-to-use solution from the leading European provider," said Thierry Markwitz, Deputy Director of Infrastructure at the French Ministry of the Interior.
